- Kept clear of solid debris (soil, gravel, leaves, trash, etc.).
- Kept clear of water
- Kept clear of product
- Have operational drain valves (if installed)
Spill buckets that are made of metal are more susceptible to heavy corrosion and will over time form a thick layer which makes a visual inspection harder to perform for those cracks, bulges and tears.
Drain valves in your buckets are an important area for inspection. If the valves do not seal properly, this could cause your overfill prevention to fall (ball floats). Improper working valves need to be inspected and replaced!
PS&C offers both a visual and hydrostatic testing procedure for your spill buckets. Our technicians use the OPW Double Wall Vacuum Tester to perform the primary as well as secondary interstice test, depending upon your need.
